"Exposure Night" (Monday's and Wednesday's)

Every band has to start somewhere, and many find getting out of the studio and up in front of a critical audience a daunting thought.

Provided your rehearsal room manager/owner contacts me, and assures me that you are up to a good enough standard, and have a set of at least 30 minutes, I will let you come and play, for free, at Oldham's Premier Rock Venue on either a Monday, or a Wednesday night. 

"ZQ Night" (Thursdays)

In house DJ/Sound Man, use of in-house back-line, including Yamaha Pro-Sound drum kit (drummer brings own cymbals, snare drum & sticks) and Bass amp.

2 bands each playing 60 min slot – 21:00/22:00 & 22:30/23:30 – each slot pays £65 PROVIDED the band has a FULL HOUR's worth of material. That is to prevent under-prepared bands from thinking they're on a nice earner on a Thursday night.

Fri & Sat

Top notch bands only.

In house DJ/Sound Man (if you want to use our back line)

Maximum for first gig £150, rising to a management imposed ceiling of £250.

We prefer bands we haven't seen before to either pop along one Sunday to the jam session, or to book themselves in for a slot on a "zQ Night", and "show off their wares".

That is not intended as being disrespectful to any of you, but in the past I made the mistake of booking a couple of bands on the strength of their demo disc/web site numbers, but when they started playing it was obvious that none of the people on my stage had had anything to do with any of those recordings!
